Hello Athletes

We are thrilled to announced that for the next few weeks we will be offering IN PERSON Outdoor Fitness Options for you.

We are still offering our existing Virtual Class sessions that occur multiple times per day; this schedule remains unchanged.

Outdoor Covid Restrictions

According to AHS:

Group lessons are permitted outdoors with up to 10 people. Participants who are not part of the same household must observe 2 metres of physical distance.

Outdoor team sports and performance activities must also be limited to 10 people or fewer and 2 metre physical distancing between participants must be maintained at all times.

This means, absolutley no hugging when you see each other! Social Distancing will be strictly enforced. (Yes, this applies to you Marisa!)

For these outdoor activities, attendance will be limited to 9 Athletes & 1 Coach. (Max 10 people)

This means, you must reserve in advance using Wodify.

There will be a wait list system in place.
When a spot in the class opens up, all people on the waitlist will receive an email -> the first person to reply gets the spot!

How to access the programming

To enable this programming to your account, all you need to do is click this big button and then you’ll be able to sign up in Wodify for the classes.


Programs

For this first week we will be offering the following programs.

If these programs are popular we will add even more time slots. The more you participate, the more we will add!

In the event of cold weather, class will be cancelled, if you had signed up for that class, you will receive an email confirming that the class is cancelled.

Prey Running Club

(Get it…Prey….because like we have Hunters?… I’ll see myself out)

Run by Michèle Sauvé, this program is a casual running program that is available for athletes of all abilities. Each session will include a warm up followed by some sort of run of some kind.

This program is going to be offered:

  • Sunday’s at Noon

  • Thursday’s at 4:30pm

Meeting Location:

 Eau Claire outside the Running Room.

Penguin Outdoor Fitness

(Cause like, penguins live outside in the cold…get it?)

This program will be much more like our traditional fitness classes you’re used to, but outdoors. Expect there to be a coach, music, and lots of exercising.

If you have borrowed any equipment for class, we recommend you bring it with you.

This program is taking place Monday/Wednesday/Friday at 4:30pm

LOCATION

For at least the first 2 weeks, the meeting place for both these programs will be at the same venue we had the Jacked ‘n’ Tan Event; The BMO Amphitheatre at Stampede Youth Campus.

(Look for TransAlta Performing Arts Studios)

NOTE: We do not have access to any sort of change room or bathroom at this venue, so please arrive ready.

You may park in the parking lot of the TransAlta Performing Arts Studios.


Cancellations

It is highly unlikely a class will be cancelled more than 1 hour prior to the start of class. If you would like to do the class, sign up as per usual, and if it is cancelled for something like weather, you will receive an email.
